Life Is Art - Issue #105 -- News from the Louis Pohl Gallery
September 02, 2018
Aloha,

Celebrate 15 years of first Fridays in the Arts District

I was telling my friend about my experience in Chinatown and the Arts District, when I had this moment of awareness.. we have been doing First Fridays for 15 years.

So I feel privileged to have a great art show with Lauren Okano- Freestyle, Mark Mitsuda and Erin Yuasa showing their Ceramics and Glass during the month of September. (see flyer)

On Saturday, September 8, 2018, The gallery and Creative Arts Experience helped Hawaii Theatre organize Celebrate the Arts Festival from 11-3 pm. Its centered in the Sun Yat Sen Park, spilling out onto Bethel St. FREE and FUN.

And for those who have to do it all, our neighborhood has it all, come down at 10 am to follow the Honolulu little league team championship parade. It starts on Bishop Street and goes to City Hall. Then drop back down to the Sun Yat Sen Park to Celebrate the Arts Festival. Check out the new art installation, music in the park, art-make-and-takes...

Every Saturday, the gallery features a different special make-art experience through Creative Arts Experience. Come cool off in the Gallery at 1:30. It's a $10 donation to the Creative Arts Experience.

Best First Friday parking is at Kukui Plaza, entrance on Kukui Street behind Pali Long's.
